Twitter is a text-based social media allowing users to share short videos, photos, and messages limited to 280 characters. Every user can be tagged with his username (@username) and hashtags are used to follow specific topics or events.
Go to the Sign Up page and enter your name, phone or email and password, then click “sign up”. You will be asked to give your phone number to secure your account, either give your phone number and click “next” or click “Skip” at the bottom left, if you don’t want to. Enter your username, which will be on your profile and in your Twitter ID (for example, typing how_login will create the @how_login account ).
Confirm, and then click “Let’s Go”. You will be prompted to choose topics of interest, import your Gmail or outlook contacts, and choose to follow popular account. None of those steps are mandatory to open your account.
Go to twitter.com and enter your email address or phone number, and password at the top right of the page, and click “Log in”.
To sign out of your account, go to twitter.com while you’re logged in, and click your profile picture at the top right of the page. In the tab, click “Log Out”.
If you want to leave Twitter, you can delete your account, but first, you have to deactivate it. To deactivate your account, sign in on your web browser (you can’t deactivate your account with the Twitter app). Click on your profile icon at the top right, and go to “settings and privacy”.
At the bottom of the page, click on “Deactivate your account”. Read the warnings, and if you’re still convinced, click "deactivate @yourusername". Your account will be deleted in 30 days.
