Tutorial on how to access the iCloud account

Icloud is a cloud online storage service that can be used on smartphones (iOS, Android) and both Mac and Windows computers. iCloud allows users to transfer their photos, videos, music and other documents to remote servers. The data can be shared and sent to other users of iCloud, automatically backup the data on his multiple Icloud compatible devices.

How to create an account ?

An iCloud account requires the iCloud (The  as other Apple services like iTunes, or iBooks, first check if you already used those service, because if you did, you already have an iCloud account (if you forgot it, just click on “Forgot Apple ID or password ?” when the option is available). Go to the Apple ID Page. And click on “Create Your Apple ID” at the bottom of the page. Fill Up the registration form with your infos then click “continue”. Check your email inbox to find an Apple ID email with your verification code, enter the verification code in the page, and you’re set !

How to login ?

You can connect to your iCloud account either by loggin in on the iCloud home page or installing the iCloud software at this download page (click on the platform at the bottom of the page and follow instructions). At the bottom of the page, select the platform you’re using, whether it’s an iOS device, a Mac or PC

For Mac, just go to your Apple menu and click “Sofware update” to make sure you’re running the latest version of OS X, then in the same Apple menu, click “iCloud”, use your Apple ID to log in

For Windows, download the iCloud App, then double click on the Icloud.exe file you downloaded (generally in your “downloads” folder)

Accept the terms of licence agreement, and tick the “Automatically update Icloud” box, restart your computer, then use your Apple iD to log in.

How to logout ?

On your Mac, go the Apple menu, then System Preferences, iCloud and click “sign out”. On your Windows PC, you can disconnect from iCloud software simply by clicking “sign out”. On your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, go to “Settings”, “Your name” (or “iCloud” if you’re using iOS 10.2 and earlier versions), and tap “sign out”.

How to delete an account ?

On iOS, go to “settings”, then “iCloud”, and swipe to the bottom to tap “Delete”. On Mac, go to “System Preferences” in the Apple Menu, then click on “Mail Contacts and Calendar”, and in the left column “iCloud” and untick all the activated features.

On Windows PC, click on the windows icon at the bottom left, then settings, and go to “Apps” or “uninstall programs” in the Programs section. Find iCloud, click on it then “uninstall”, and confirm each step with “yes” and “finish”.
