Tutorial on how to access the Microsoft office account

Office is an office application suite containing Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and OneNote available as a software or on the office website. It can be accessed either by buying an Office licence or subscribing to Office 365.

How to create an account ?

Click on “log in”, then click on “Create One” under the “next” button. Fill up the form with your information, phone number (or email by clicking “use your email instead”), password. You will then receive a code in your mailbox or on your phone to verify your address.

Copy and paste the code, click “next” and finally, enter the characters you see or use the audio captcha to confirm you're a real person. You will have to give other information like your first and last name before accessing the account. If you haven't bought an office licence yet, go to this page.

How to login ?

Click on “log in”. Connect with your microsoft account ID and password or if you don't have an account, create one.

How to logout ?

Go to the Office account page. Click on your profile name at the top right and click on “sign out”.

How to delete an account ?

Your Office account is the same as your Microsoft account. To delete a Microsoft account, go to this page, click on your account in the list, get the security code from your mailbox. If you get a “Tired of waiting for security codes” message, click “No thanks” below.

Read all the warnings (Cancel subscriptions, use skype credit...) and if you're ready, click “next”. Read each item in the list and tick every box before clicking “Mark account for closure”. You now have a date for the closure of your account, if you sign in before then, your account will be reactivated.
